Question Sending money from JP Post Bank to UFJ Bank

I know there are all kinds of threads about sending money, but none seemed to quite answer my question.

I just bought some furniture on Nitori's website. I (foolishly?) elected to pay via transfer money from my bank account.
So, I have a JP Post Bank account, and Nitori's turns out to be UFJ. I could not for the life of me figure out
how to pay my bill at the JP Post ATM (under the 'remittance' option - I switched to English to be careful) ; their email gave me their
account number, a 伝票番号 number, and that's it. No other numbers, just their UFJ bank location.

The bank teller at the JP Post Bank I went to seemed to think I need to go to UFJ to do this.
    I am just lost.

I've only been here two weeks so I am still in 'can't something happen in a familiar way?' mode?

Why dont you contact Nitori to ask for a different payment method, im sure they wont have a problem with that.

I did just write them an email, but I'm not sure how else I'll pay apart from COD (if available) as all I have is my JP Post account with its cash card. I'd love to know if it's possible to do this for future reference too.

You can remit (furikomi) money from JP Post Bank to UFJ. You have to use their ATM machine (online as well, if you have signed up). They specifically say that they cannot do it at their teller window. In Japanese:

As long as you have the account number, type, bank name, and branch name for the payee, you have enough information to do the transfer. Have a Japanese speaking friend or colleague visit the post office ATM with you. Or find a staff member of the post office / bank who can help you navigate the ATM instructions. And remember to put that order number in the comments section to help Nitori match up your order.

    Default furikomi - How to

This blog seem to go in detail with pics on how to do a furikomi thru the ATM. Don't know if your ATM screens would look the same.
