Default Debito's latest article in the Japan Times

In formulating immigration policy, no seat at the table for non-Japanese

As usual he manages to get in a couple of swipes including one against Mr. Clark - how could he miss an opportunity.

Any thoughts on the details and delivery?

I'm surprised people even read his articles.

I admired him at first when I read his articles many years ago. But he's just embarassing himself now.

As much as I dislike the guy, and usually dislike his writings, this one was pretty good. Some stuff could have been left out - the swipe at Mr. Clark for example - but overall he covered some good points.
The only thing in Japan that is harder than being a foreigner in Japan, is being Japanese in Japan.

I am surprised that you can read! ...let alone recognize the embarrassments of others!
... and thanks to you well_bicyclically, you helped me a lot.

I read it and thought that if he was going to accentuate the positive, then he should have delved into that more. This kind of social progress around here is good, we should offer them a small round of applause for baby steps.

Gregory Clark is so far out of his league, (and totally different circles) why even bother?
    I hate the NTA.
