Question Questions about ECC eikaiwa application

Hi, I searched for some threads on ECC, and didn't find anything specifically about the application.

I have some general questions about their application, if I can get some input. I've been rejected after the JET interview twice, so I'm not a total newbie with the applications, if that helps.

Here's the link to the app if anyone wants to see: https://recruiting.ecc.co.jp/online/canada/index.php

I emailed their Toronto office about this, too, but does anyone know how long they want answers for stuff like, "Please tell us about your character/personality and your interests/hobbies?" I've got my JET SOP to repurpose here, but I don't want to inundate the poor sap who has to review the applications that day. Update: Received a reply. Applicants can write however much they want.

How long do you see yourself working at ECC?
Realistically, two years. Unless it sucks, or until I find a better option. But what's the smart answer here?

Why would you like to go to Japan?
Likewise, I have a decent answer for this pertaining to Japanese family+friends, general long-standing interests in Japan, and previous travel experience in Japan. Any pitfalls to avoid here that'd be different from the JET app?

Would you like ECC to arrange accommodation for you in Japan?
I'm thinking yes. Any reason I wouldn't? Even if my Japanese friends can help me find housing, no guarantee I'll get a position near them.

Last thing. My placement preference is in the Kanto area, since that's where I've been and where all my friends are. But from some other forums, I've read about recent severe delays and hiring freezes for Kanto applicants? I'm thinking I'll also check the box for Kansai, but fill out the optional field to show a strong preference/reasoning for Kanto? I don't mind waiting 4 months to get into Kanto. After 4 months, anywhere is better than nowhere.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I would love to see what the career options are within ECC, realistically I understand I may need to study for English teaching certifications while working at ECC and would like to discuss what would be the ideal qualifications I can study for that would benefit ECC and my career in general as an English teaching professional.

Why would you like to go to Japan?
I have made many Japanese friends in Canada whom I have taught English. They have encouraged me to persue my English teaching career in Japan. Along with a long interest in Japan I am interested in practical full time teaching while I build my qualifications.

Would you like ECC to arrange accommodation for you in Japan?
Innitially yes, however I would like to move to a room share with friends as soon as possible if that is practical and helpful for maintaining my work life balance.

Last thing. My placement preference is in the Kanto area, since that's where I've been and where I can receive the most support from friends although I am open and have been encouraged to experience other regions of Japan so far as there are opportunities to study and experience Japanese culture.
You might sound like a bit of a ____ but it might work. Hope it helps as a guide.

Hey, thanks for the suggestions. The housing question is just a Yes/No, though. Suppose I can talk with one of their people about this at a later date.

Just received an email from ECC saying they leave all matters of length and interpretation of questions up to the applicant's discretion ... yay? Guess that makes it easier.
