I'm certain this kind of question has been asked hundreds of times nevertheless I would like to know what my prospects for finding a job are.
I currently reside in Tokyo. I am going to graduate from Temple University Japan with a degree in Economics next year. I am not a native speaker of Japanese, but I have the JLPT 1-kyu certification, and I can speak fluently. I also did a brief internship at Bloomberg. I know competition is high, but my goal is to work at a Foreign finance firm in Tokyo. I would even be satisfied with a back office Job.
Are the odds against me? Or do I have some sort of significant chance? Are there other qualifications I could get that would help my chances? Or should I attempt the Japanese shushoku route?
