    Default Mobility/Technical Jobs in Japan

I am currently a development manager working for a large software company in Redmond, WA (yes, that one). My wife is Japanese, and we have been thinking about moving to Japan, but I am not sure if I would be able to find a decent job.

Would it be realistic for a technical manager with little Japanese (I am learning now) to find a technical job? Note that I am not new in my career (early 30s) so entry level positions would not be a good fit.

"That company"'s US operation enjoys a better reputation with financial companies here than it's Japan operation does. Better to get in touch with a Head hunter here that has contacts in the Financial industry while you still there.

Thanks for the advice. I investigated transferring to the Japan office, but since it’s mostly sales there was not much opportunity.

Take a look at career cross or [another jobs website that gaijin pot censors].
You'll find plenty of ads for senior positions.

But then I don't know what you're willing to consider as "decent". You won't find many companies here that offer the same conditions as "that company".

Can you say a little bit more about your experience and skills?
