    Default experience based work visa

Is anyone here on an experience based work visa? What type of proof did you have to give for your experience? Can teaching in any area, including volunteer work, be used for an English teaching job? Has anyone used an immigration attorney in the Kansai area?

    It's all case by case.

What do you have to provide as proof? How many years do you have of teaching experience?

    The obvious proof possibilities:
    Tax receipts.
    Old contracts.
Your face in a brochure or catalogue.
    Pay stubs.
    Recommendation letter.

Volunteer work is unlikely to be considered, but who knows what your immigration official will think on the day you apply? It may also depend on what other experience you show, and whether that volunteer work was full-time or not. I wouldn't count on it to take the place of paid full-time work.
