Probably the same as for my North Sea Basic Sea Survival course and my cross-country cup. Why would a US University accredit a foreign, unbenchmarked private institution examination?
that's gonna vary from institution to institution.
most (having any knowledge of japanese learning and standards) would accept the credential of the JLPT level 1
however,
most american universities would give you no credit.
you might be exempted from language classes up to some level.
but as a rule, credits extended for training or study are usually only for the specific requirement of taking specific classes.
after that, you still need the same number of credit hours (total amount of class work) to recieve a degree.
nobody will give you degree at their school for doing nothing at their school!!
they might even require you to pay and take a test at the school to equal credit for courses. sometimes those are free credits for the test, but again the total credits you need for the degree remain the same.
Rather than asking the people that use this board, why not ask the schools? I have used this approach with other matters in the past, and it works. Pick some schools you are thinking about attending (or not attending), and whip out an email. Some will answer, and some will not, but you won't get the jack-___ responses you might get from the users of this board ( Bongo the Whippet Rides Again! for example).
