Thread: Teaching and Studying

    Default Teaching and Studying

I'm coming to Japan to study at a music school for at least two years. I intend to teach English so I could pay for school fees and accomodation. I've asked different people about the chances of me being employed, but the response is so mixed I don't know who to believe. I know Japanese, Korean, and am from Australia. I'm half Korean and will be 19 when I get to Japan. And, as I said before, I'll be there for a few years to study. Can anybody shed some light on this, I don't want to get there and go broke only to come back home.
    Thank you.

If you are interested in teaching English, you might want to look at the articles and information at EFL in Asia:

Things are not as rosy as they used to be for English teachers, but there is still work.
