Well I'm sorry I can't help you much, but your best bet maybe to talk to someone who is already in the business as they will know or at least have some idea and info to point you in the right direction.

Another good piece of advice is don't follow the advice from most in here, unless you want wrong advise!

    Good luck!

Sponsorship implies that the company will provide you with the means to live in Japan. I do not think there is enough work month to month for anyone to live on. I have a friend who is an actor/model/musician. He has to teach to cover the in-between times.

I dont know about you but after my 100 thousandth post I would probably be knowledgeable enough to know the inner working of Japan.

Lets see how I could help.

    1. Get off the internet and actually meet people.
    2. little paper called the Nikkei, open it and look for job postings.
    3. Build yourself a nice resume and start mailing it.
    4. If nothing works then Kabuki-cho will hire.
(Its not modeling but auditions will be necessary)

From what little I know modeling here most agencies have their models sent over from abroad. You might be able to find a bit of work here if you already have a proper work visa but other wise I`d think it`s a long shot.

I did know one American that worked on and off for years as a model/actor in Japan while on a tourist visa but he had a professional background in modeling in the States.
THEY DON'T WANT ALL YOU GAIJIN HERE ANYMORE!!!
