NICE hotels in Seoul?

a variation on the last thread...

We are going (2 adults, one kid) to Seoul for a 6 day or so vacation in october, any recommendations for niceish hotels? I would actually prefer a hotel with suites, if it is affordable and not crummy. And, which area of town is most convenient for touristy stuff?

Sorry I don't have any names but again you can find hotels at every price range at the information counter at Seoul airport. I think the larger hotels cost 10, 000+ a night but there are many on the main streets in the downtown area. It's a good central place and there are lots of buses. Alternatively you might try asking the agency that books your air tickets, assuming you are flying, about prices. They will be able to find hotels in different price ranges and make reservations. But in the big hotels expect to pay higher prices.They generally cater to Japanese and out-of-town tourists so they are nice and expensive, though lower than luxury hotels in Japan.

I have stayed near Coex convention centre it was very convenient there. The hotel attached to the mall.

I stayed at a few YMCA hostels and hotels both on business and with my family. I found them to be big, with a bathtub and clean bathroom, friendly, cheap and near the main drag. You can find them on the net, just look up YMCA in Seoul. Good luck.W.
