    Red face Sng.

    Hi all, am new here!
I posted a similar thread at another section but figure out that this prolly be more suitable and i can't delete the other one. Any way back to main point!

I'm planning to stay in Japan and master the language!
By any chance, anyone here studied or know of this school?

SHINJUKU JAPANESE LANGUAGE INSTITUTE @ Takadanobaba Shinjuku-ku

    any feedbacks/comments about it?
    Or any schools to recommend?

Hope to hear from someone soon!!
    Thanks in advance! =D

am planning to take their 1/1.5yrs course then prolly find a job and see how long i can survive in japan. hahhaa

i'm taking language course for japanese over here at my country for more then a year already.
so i'm able to convers and read/understand as least above basic.

i figure out that no matter how long i were to study japanese in my country and i don't make use of the language often it takes me very long to be fluent in it.

Have you checked out any other schools?

I would not pay ahead for a school until I was sure that I would be happy there. There are just too many bad schools out there to risk it. I think you should just come on a three month visitor visa at first and shop around different schools. Then after you pick one, change over for a student visa.

Most schools should allow you to sit in on a class for free. Also, in person, you will be able to talk to other students as well as check out the facilities and such to have a better idea about what the school has to offer.

You bothered to go there to the school and they didn't offer for you to audit a class? I'm not sure what to make of that. What were the things that impressed you about the school?

Is your Mom living in Japan? Why don't you go to your Mom's language school? Are you going to live with your Mom? Does that mean free rent and your Mom cooking for you while in Japan? Or is your Mom attending a language school outside of Japan? Why is your Mom attending a language school?

What did the language teacher say was good about the school? Sometimes people recommend things because it is the only place they know about and they are trying to be helpful. Sometimes they recommend something because they have enough knowledge of something to know it is good compared to the alternatives. Do you know which is the case with your Mom's language school teacher?

ehhh well, i've no idea why they didnt. but at the time when i was there the morning lessons(i assume) was over and it's break time~

things that impressed me? heh they have got 3 bulidings of classes, the staff there were really nice and friendly and students there seem to be ok, no 'weird' students. hahah =X

my mom is not living in japan, if she is i wouldn't be this lost. my mom is attending a language school out of jpn where we are staying at now(singapore). she is attending because she is also interested in the language. haha

My mom's language teacher studied and graduated from this school(Shinjuku language school).
    So he recommended this school~

The staff mostly have to act friendly to you so I'm not sure that means anything. But it is a good sign that the teacher went there her/himself and recommends it. If you end up going there, please post about it if it is good or pm me about it if it isn't. (If it isn't good you don't want to post openly about the school while you are still attending there as they might read it, know who you are, and then give you a hard time at the school.)
