Why Do the People Still Pay For the College?

No one is comparing those of low aptitude with those of high aptitude.

If anything college proves one thing, those with low aptitude go there like lemmings and end up paying 50 - 100 k for pieces of worthless wallpaper that no one except their moms are impressed with.

The smart ones get out there and get paid to learn or do something.

C'mon, at least make intelligent comments. For the most part this isn't true and I'm pretty sure you know it. There are those who attend because they are concerned about their future, those who attend because they feel they should and plenty more because they want to and because they believe -- often correctly -- that they will do better because of their degree(s). I have 4. So what if someone has a degree in English lit. with minors in Latin and philosophy? Was it worthless? That's really not for anyone other than that person to decide.

Oh.. And as far as NOT going to college.. The article clearly states that IF there were viable vocation alternatives to college, which there are not, then vocational school would be a good alternative for many.
