I've seen some scary siht in Japan. Especially in porn shops. Like girls used underwear, tampons, child porn, fake vaginas shaped like tissue boxes, voyeur vids, camera shoes, camera handbags, grotesque porn, scat porn, etc. And also seems like there's a porn shop at every corner. Then there are pervs getting caught on trains everyday, even a special police force that tries to combat these guys, even female only trains. My question is, why is this stuff so common in Japan? I've been to many other countries, and so far I have seen nothing that even comes close to the sheer volume and variety I see in Japan.

Some stuff is cool though. I bought this powder at one shop long ago that turned bath water into gel. Has the potential to crack a skull if you're not careful, but great fun. And before everyone starts calling me a perv, I don't visit these stores everyday. Actually in total, I've probably been into these places only on 4 occasions, mostly just out of curiosity.
Also, what is with Japan's attitude, or lack of, about cheating? All the time I hear guys openly talking about going to hostess clubs, "health" and soaplands. They feel there's nothing wrong with it, but more surprising is that their wives also accept it. Also, I don't know how true this is, but I heard that having sex with a minor is something like a rite of passage for old men. And that there's nothing wrong with having a girlfriend on the side.
