    Default Visa / debit cards

I got a Visa/Debit card from EBANK last year that worked great. All of a sudden Rakuten Bank bought them out and now they discontinued the VISA Debit service on my card and it currently only functions as a DEBIT CARD.

YES!!! I'm very disappointed. I'm not a big fan of the CREDIT system and how it enslaves people into debt... so I loved the convenience of just building a surplus of cash and not having to carry it because my VISA DEBIT CARD worked at all VISA terminals. It was nice.

But thanks to Rakuten.. those days are over.

    SO MY QUESTION IS....

Since I will definitely be discounting my banking services with Rakuten, is there another simple to use and setup VISA DEBIT CARD system in Tokyo that's for the most part friendly to foreign users???

    Your help is appreciated...!!!

It will still work. Call Rakuten Bank and tell them you want to continue using your Visa debit card. They will charge a fee of 1000yen/year (deducted from your account) and then you can use it as you were using it before.
