Default University of Tokyo / Tsukuba University

    Hello Everyone,
What are the chances for an expat in Japan to join one of the above universities ? I got Spouse VISA and I got no issues with financing my studies by myself. I hope to get some helpful information
    Cheers!

What degree do you want to work towards?
what is your level of Japanese (in order to understand lectures etc)
Who do you know in the university that can vouch for your abilities and mentor you?
what confidence do you have you can pass the entrance examination?
Why should those schools admit you?
I'd be a hypocrite if I were being an a$$hole to people who weren't a$$holes first. I'm not.

A small heads up here. Japanese is the national language in Japan. All lectures are taught in Japanese, not English. You are going to have problems pursuing a full degree if you cant speak the language.
Entrance to a Japanese university program usually requires you pass Level 1 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test as well as the entrance test.

For entrance to an English language university program try Temple University. Lakeland University or Sophia University.
