Not that it's gonna stop me, I just make sure I'm protected and take everything they say with a Hummer-sized block of salt.
Yeah they are pretty ignorant on sex education. The Japanese government stopped it in schools I think. I have to say i also don't like ti when foreign girls go on about the old boyfriends and history evcen when not asked so there is something to say for not talking about your history. Oh yeah i got the clap from a j girl using a condom. And J docs are crap in the STD field.

Yeah, they pretty much just tell you to use a condom and you'll be safe....even though there are a ton of ways to get and STD, even with a condom.

A bit of a tangent here, but that's of my gripes as well. In my case, it has been mainly J-gals who just had to tell me about their histories. Unsolicited. Most white girls I dated did not go down that road.
Hey, just because I can get laid a lot here doesn't make it paradise. Or a "free" society.

I'm not doubting you, but that sounds most un-Japanese to me. Do you suppose those J-women would tell their sexual histories to the Japanese guys they go out with? Or do they just tell gaijin?

that is not a complaint from me. i like that they talk about their history of bfs etc. Of course I like it when they remember them and said how their d1cks are nothing compared to my super Patriot missile....

Muahahahaha(it is a joke for the humor impaired around here)

I had one j-girl tell me she had HPV and herpes. Then she said she used to work fuzoku. I dropped her immediately but I appreciated the honesty.

Another j-girl told me she had herpes, I was hoping for a hate f*ck for her being so annoying but after she told me what she had, I took he straight home.

I have to agree with Steki, most j-girls are willing to tell you. (cept his wife! ziiiiiiiing) The bigger problem is that most girls don't know if they have anything and have little/no info about STD's to know how to protect themselves.

horse ____, japanese girls get the same sex ed treatment most kids do in the west. i remember in elementary and high school getting the bullshit lectures about condoms. everyone knew. if you wanna have sex, use a condom. high school bullshit sex ed classes don't always overcome the natural instinct to just have raw sex. $hit happens. quit being a prejudiced douche.

They seem to wait until closer to boyfriendness.. Then they either lie completely and pretend to be virginal, or they tell you everything in gory detail..

lol.. nice way to make sure she DOESN'T tell the NEXT guy...
Maybe Steki's gal had a few of those and learned that it was clam up or say bye-bye.

If that were the case, this thread wouldn't exist. Even the doctors here only give the advice "use a condom."

Neither of the ones I was about to bang were close to boyfriendness, one was the second time I met her, the other the first.

So you would rather me lie and say I'm cool with that or bang away anyways?

this thread exists because the majority of the 人生の残り外人さん trolling gaijinpot are banging sperm dumpsters, it's not a japanese thing, if you nail whores what do you expect.

but all this BS about jp doctors not knowing anything about STD's, etc. is horse ____. who exactly are you asking? of course if you ask a neurosurgeon he's not going to have much advice for you on the matter. go to a urologist or a doctor or nurse working in a clinic specializing in std prevention and you'll have plenty of decent information.

japanese young people get enough education about this kind of thing. it's all over the place in high schools. there are std and HIV / AIDS awareness posters absolutely everywhere. have you not been to shibuya in the last decade?

fact is some girls just 生でやりたい and don't give a damn, so wrap yourself up

THIS. At the high school I teach at they have these strange looking posters with multiplying cats on them. At first I thought they were telling girls to be careful not to get pregnant, but when I asked another female student she whispered that they were there to represent the spread of STDs. (They have the same kind of posters at the vet warning about how untreated animals can easily pass fleas on to other animals.) There's a couple of these posters in each hall. Pretty sure like her, most of the students know what they mean.

When I worked in the junior highs they had these volunteers who would come in and set up stations for explaining the birds and the bees and all that went on. For one you watched a video about how sperm move towards the egg and make a baby when two people of the opposite sex have sex, and the stages of infant growth after fertilization. In another one you had hands on with an actual baby doll. In some schools they segregated boys and girls; in some schools they didn't. Although they didn't go into much detail about STDs, they did mention the using condoms to be safe. I imagine that birth control doesn't cross most Japanese female minds because they never have a chance to be informed about it and thus have their misconceptions about it. I've never had a problem getting the pills myself; it's really quite easy if you go to the ob/gyno.

It's kind of like the way most things are presented to kids here... They tell you something is bad, but don't necessarily tell you what happens or why. In turn, the kids kind of don't give it much thought because it's just more adults telling them what or what not to do.

More than that, the big joke at the JHS was when the drug prevention committee came. Even though the pamphlet they gave out had a bunch of different kinds of drugs listed, most of the pictures used were ancient and the only thing they actually talked about was refusing cigarettes. For even more laughter, the people presenting it were often the teachers who smoked. I mean what kid is going to refuse to do something they know perfectly well the person telling them not to is doing themselves. No mention of marijuana, coke, date rape drugs, etc. at all.

I've heard a lot of Japanese women don't want to be tested because unless it's an anonymous clinic, the results may not be private, especially in the case of HIV. If the company were to find out they'd be facing a forced retirement or other equally unpleasant options.

Not much of a zing when I freely shared the info here with you folks.

Bringing it up again a month later is actually more of a thud. Or a dud on your part.

Yeah, it surprised me a bit because it didn't fit with my stereotype of the Japanese woman. Didn't really expect that level of unsolicited (and unwanted) honesty. Is she bragging or warning me?

She told me I was the first partner she ever told. It is understandably uncomfortable to talk about and she just avoided sex around those times with previous partners.

If she's a sperm urinal, you don't need to ask, your wrap up at all costs...

General practitioners only seem to talk about HIV/AIDS and the only advice they seem to ever give out is to wear a condom. I'm not saying " jp doctors don't know anything about STD's, etc." , just the advice is really weak for someone in their position.

Posters? There are posters about local politicians everywhere...you think that posters really help educate people if they're not interested? I didn't go to HS in Japan and sex ed in the US is still not enough but if anything, I would say the sperm dumpsters in Japan seem to be more on the up and up about getting tested and being protected than the wifey material girls here. Why? They probably had a scare or something happen to motivate them to learn more. Mizutama also mentioned the Japanese group mentality on this subject, some are too afraid to find out they might have something so they close their eyes and don't get tested.

If they prefer nama, then that's another warning to protect yourself or play russian STD roulette.

I stand corrected, sperm urinal, cum dumpster!

Of course we do!! Who doesn't?? BUT, I reserve it for actual relationships. No STD risk and if she gets pregnant, it's someone you're serious about, not the above mentioned cum dumpster. (lol, would it then be a cum dumpster baby abortion?)
