I was wondering if there's anyone here who's been on a student visa and then got married.

I am currently in the process of having my student visa turned into a spouse visa as I got married but was asked by immigration to also submit grades and attendance from my school (I go to a japanese senmon gakkou).
My attendance isn't that great from my 2nd as I have no plans on continuing studying. My school recommended I also submitted some kind of document explaining my low attendance.

Has anyone had to do this? Has there been any problem? This low attendance is also just a half year report and not for the full year if that matters?
