Question 1 year WHV only last 6 months with earned income. How to approach?

From June 2003 till June 2004 I was in Japan under a WHV.

From June 2003 till December 2003 I was travelling off of my own financial resources

From January 2004 until I left in June I was earning an income and I wish to pay tax on that.

The income I earned was paid to me cash from my employer. I was classified as a "consultant" and not a full time employee of the company. There were no deductions off of my monthly pay, and no statement of earnings other than the paper trail of direct deposit to my bank.

Anyways, I suppose I could be a bad person and not pay tax but I established a Japanese bank account with UFJ to which money was deposited directly from the Japanese company i was contracted to into my perosnal UFJ account.

I want to pay tax on this amount from Jan 2004 until the time I left.

How can I do this if Im not in Japan or overseas?

I want to return to Japan again with a proper full work visa, so I dont want any derogitory comments on my file for lack of tax paid.

Yes I will get a tax man to help but I interested in others opinions on here as well.

    Thanks!
