can't trust the media. they are obviously a mouth piece for the gov't agenda. the good news, they have turned into more of an event than if they just let it be, as is usually the way it works.

It is so easy to be anti-nuclear. Ban it, Abolish it, Dismantle it, and the list goes on.
The big question is, then, what? What energy source replaces nuclear power in a matter of several months or a few years? Cranking up natural gas / petrol powered plants to the max by importing more oil and natural gas from the Middle East?

Some of those very rural sections of Japan do not offer anything other than limited land (to put up a nuclear plant) to get some types of govt subsidies. No tax revenue from the residents --> external revenue from the central govt or the power company to sustain welfare for their aging residents.

ever heard of a 'net zero' house? they usually feed energy back to the grid. they could be done. maybe every house wouldn't generate 100% of what they need, but it would be enough. the problem with humans is their limited ability to see what could done with a little work.
