    Sapporo will host the iCommons Summit 2008 from July 29th-August 1st. In conjunction with the Summit, we are holding a contest called the SUSHI PROJECT to find new types of sushi and expand the popularity of sushi abroad. We invite you to take part by submitting your own original sushi recipes and designs.


    1. APPLICATION DEADLINE
    May 16, 2008 (Friday) ***Must arrive by May 16, 2008

    2. APPLICATION DETAILS
    Proposals for original recipes and designs are now being accepted and will be judged
    within the following categories:

    * Sushi Roll Category
    * Nigiri Sushi Category
    * Creative Sushi Category
    * Design Category

    3. APPLICATION PROCESS
    Please download the registration form and include a full-color photograph or illustration
    when submitting your proposal.

    The photograph or illustration of your proposed sushi will be used for judging. If you send your photograph or illustration by email, please make sure that the file does not exceed 1 MB.

    4. SELECTION METHOD
    Selections will be made by judges appointed by the Committee for the iCommons Summit
    2008 in Sapporo. First round winners will be contacted in early June and the final
    winners will be contacted after the announcement at the Mayor's Reception of the
    iCommons Summit (July 30, 2008).

    Prizes will be sent directly to the Grand Prix winner and the individual category winners. The winning recipes and design will be put together in a "Sushi Bon" manual and released under a Creative Commons license.

    6. ADDITIONAL NOTES
    There is no limit to the number of recipes and designs that can be submitted per person.
