Sh!te, and I've been searching for strike for 2 days...

And the reason it seems that the shop people didn't know the language could be changed is..... they didn't read the instruction manual.
    Here is English version

          Ordered mine today. 29 Mon.

Could only find the Sony, Gorilla portables. in the Local FUKUI prefecture stores. Autobec. etc. didn't carry this unit.

A few of the sony's could do voice prompts but your stuck with the kanji maps and kanji inputs.

I ordered this for the Mountain Bike. Great Find Much appreciated. I'll post some pics and a review after i use it for a week.

Mounted mine on my Mountain Bike. Been testing it out this week. Even searched locations by phone numbers. So far its working great.
Two english mode menus from the main setup screen. Then in the GPS Mode you setup the English Menu/Voice. When in both english modes it has Romanji Maps, English Voice prompts and English menus.

The title is misleading. I thought the GPS people went on strike. OMG WHERE AM I?

They DID go on strike!! But their chant was "We are here................Get used to it.", but nobody took any interest.
